A Visit from Loudoun County Fire & Rescue

This week, excitement filled the air as our school welcomed the incredible team from Loudoun County Fire & Rescue for a special educational visit. The firefighters provided an immersive experience, inviting students to explore the fire engine and ambulance up close while explaining the mechanics behind the machinery.
Beyond the excitement of the trucks, the visit focused on critical safety lessons. Students engaged in interactive discussions about emergency preparedness and what to do when they hear an alarm. A highlight of the visit was a live demonstration where a firefighter donned full protective gear. This not only showed the students the equipment used to stay safe but also helped demystify the sight of a fully geared firefighter in an emergency. It was a day of hands-on learning that our students won’t soon forget!
